. Maine State Florists' & Growers' Association Education Division Professional Certified Florist Program .  The Professional Certified Florist Program is one of the most complete educational programs in the floral industry.  This program is geared toward members at all levels of experience.  It is designed to benefit everyone from sales clerks to designers to shop owners.  The program provides a standard of professional excellence, which is recognized throughout the industry.  The PCF Program is divided into two segments:  Professional Certified Florist and Maine Master Floral Designer.  The Professional Certified Florist program consists of 12 classes.  You are required to take all 12 classes and pass an exam for each class with a score of 80% or above to be eligible to take the certification test to become a Maine Professional Certified Florist.  PCF Instructor is Carmen Nelson, AAF AIFD PFCI mmfd  Spring Street Greenhouses and Floral, Dexter ME 924-7102    Professional Certified Florist may enroll in our Advanced Classes to become certified as a Maine Master Floral Designer, providing they meet the criteria. Four advanced classes are required to achieve this status. Instructor is Ann Jordan AAF AIFD mmfd

Requirements:

• Must be a member in good standing of the MSF&GA or be employed by a member of MSF&GA.
• Must be enrolled in the program.
• Each class has a nominal fee and must be paid in advance.

Classes are from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  Students are required to bring their own tools and a bucket for their flowers.  Snacks are provided.   Students are asked to bring a bag lunch.  We have a 1/2 hour break at noon.
