MEMBER OF THE YEAR 2005

Lisa LaGrange, mmfd

  Lisa has been a member of MSF&GA since 1997.  She has owned KMD Florist in Waterville since 1995.  Lisa loves to compete in design contests and has won the Designer of the Year competition in 2000, 2002, and 2005.  Lisa has also won the Design Contest at the Bangor Spring Show and earned a scholarship to Teleflora’s Education Center in Oklahoma City.

  Lisa has chaired the program held at the Annual Growers Show in Augusta Maine in January for many years.  She has been a motivated chairman for all those years.  Lisa completed the Maine Master Floral Designer course in 2005.

  We appreciate all Lisa’s efforts for MSF&GA.



The award is for an active member of the floricultural industry. The recipient should be one that is willing to share knowledge about our changing industry, who participates in functions presented by our Association, and is active in the industry.

CRITERIA:
1. Must be a member in good standing with the Association or an employee of a member in good standing.
2. Must be active in industry through shows, fairs, seminars or other educational functions. Must be someone who pursues innovative ideas and is willing to share them with others.
3. Must not have received the award in any previous year.

There is only one vote per member shop. Vote must be mailed in on MSFGA ballot. No phoned-in ballots will be accepted.

This award will be presented at the MSFGA show each year in September. A small plaque will be given the recipient and their name will be inscribed on the large plaque which the Association will display at their events.

An industry related book or publication will also be awarded to the winner to be placed in their local library, if they so desire, with an inscription in the book telling of the award, the recipient, and of their donation. An identical book will be purchased for the MSF&GA lending library for the use of the membership.

(Note): Recipient’s contributions to the industry must have occurred within the past year.
